Southeast Christian Church Sportsman's Challenge
Hunt to Make A Difference… Feed the hungry
Over 300,000 meals provided to the hungry to date!
Our 2009-2010 goal is 200,000!
Mission
In Psalm 24:1 the Bible proclaims that, "The earth is the Lord's and everything in it". That's right, it all belongs to our Creator, even the Kentucky deer herd. Our charge is to take care of His creation and manage it well and for His children and especially the less fortunate. Through the Sportsman's Challenge you have an opportunity to make and impact by providing food for the hungry. Every deer harvested and donated to KHFH provides 440 meals for the hungry. Imagine the impact you can make if you harvest just one deer, what about two, three or more. We have a great resource to feed the hungry and KHFH is a great organization dedicated to the task. The goal of the Sportsman's Challenge is to to feed the hungry and develop a closer connection to our Creator and our fellow hunters. So come join in and, " Hunt to Make a Difference, Feed the Hungry".

How the Sportsmans Challenge works
Step 1: Register….. go to Registration Tab on this site and print out the registration card complete it and mail to address indicated.
Step 2: GO HUNTING!
Step 3: YOU MUST turn your deer in to one of the designated KHFH processors. For a list of KHFH Processors and rules, CLICK HERE.
When you turn your deer in you must request from the processor a KHFH donation receipt. Complete the receipt and include your confirmation number. The processor will keep the receipt and give you a copy. This receipt must be mailed to us at the address indicated under official rules.
The receipt from the processor must be marked "Sportsmans Challenge" and the copy the processor keeps and the one you mail to us must have "Sportsman's Challenge" written on the donation receipt.
If you donate a deer a KHFH processor not designated in the list above it is your responsibility to make sure the processor will accept your donation. All KHFH processors have a quota and when the quota is met they will no longer accept donations to KHFH or Sportsman's Challenge.
*NOTE: During the busy times of hunting season some processors may reach capacity and be unable to accept deer donations.
Step 4: For each donation you make you will get your name in a drawing to be held January 27, 2009 at the Southeast Christian Church Wild Game Feed.
